Wild & Whirly Bodies
This is all about exploring clay bodies. You will learn how to process and test ‘wild’ or found clay (this could be sourced from a garden, construction site etc.) You will make some tests and tools.
You will also learn about mixing clays and making different additions to clay to change its colour and other properties. Adding materials such as stains, sand, crushed ceramic and rock can add interest to the material.
It is recommended that you use a P3 mask for this course. Masks with replaceable filters can be bought from most building merchants.

Access & Info
The studio is located on the first floor. General access is up a flight of stairs. Ring the bell for entry. If you require the lift, please let me know and I will meet you downstairs. The workshop can get cold, make sure you are warmly dressed.
